What we collect
Information you give us. When you place an order, create an account, or contact us, we collect your name, billing and shipping address, email address, phone number, and payment details.
Information collected automatically. When you visit the store, we automatically collect information about your device and browsing: browser type, IP address, time zone, the pages you view, and which website or search term referred you. This is collected through cookies and similar technologies.
Information you choose to share. If you sign up to our email list, leave a review, or email us, we keep the information you provide in those messages.
Payment information
We do not see or store your full card details. Payments are processed by Shopify's encrypted checkout and its payment providers. Your card information passes directly to them.
Why we use your information
We use the information we collect to:
- Fulfil and deliver your order, and send order and dispatch confirmations
- Answer your questions and provide customer support
- Process returns, exchanges and refunds
- Send marketing emails, where you have asked to receive them
- Screen orders for fraud and protect the store from misuse
- Understand how the store is used so we can improve it
Marketing emails
We only send marketing emails to people who have asked for them. Every email includes an unsubscribe link, and unsubscribing takes effect immediately. You can also email support@orvessa.com and we will remove you.
Unsubscribing from marketing does not stop transactional emails about an order you have placed, such as dispatch and delivery updates.
Who we share information with
We share personal information only with the parties needed to run the store:
- Shopify, which powers this store and processes orders and payments
- Payment providers, to take payment and process refunds
- Shipping carriers, to deliver your order
- Email and analytics providers, to send the emails you have asked for and to understand how the store is used
We do not sell your personal information.
We may also disclose information where we are required to by law, or to respond to a lawful request from a public authority.
Cookies
Cookies are small text files placed on your device. We use them to keep your cart working, remember your preferences, and understand how the store is used.
You can block or delete cookies through your browser settings. Some parts of the store, including checkout, may not work correctly if you do.
How long we keep information
We keep order information for as long as necessary to fulfil the order and to meet legal, accounting and tax obligations. Marketing contacts are kept until you unsubscribe.
